World news – Man Utd star James supported the bid for World Cup qualification in Wales

The 23-year-old Manchester United winger was a regular at Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and started eight of the last nine games in all competitions.

And Wales believe they will take advantage of James’ form in flight at Old Trafford in their first Group E qualifier against Belgium on Wednesday.

Kite keeper Robert Page said: « DJ has played at club level without minutes in the past, but it is an advantage for us to have players who play week after week.

 » He worked really hard to get back on the team He looks like a threat every time he plays.

« He’s back to playing football at the highest level and doesn’t look out of place at all. It’s great for us. « 

James has become Solskjaer’s first choice and impresses with recent wins against Manchester City, West Ham and the Europa League 2-1 overall win against AC Milan in the last fourteen Days.

The ex-Swansea wideman is hoping to make another eye-catching performance when United heads to Leicester in today’s FA Cup quarter-finals at King Power Stadium.

But the £ 15million Man had to reverse his career at Old Trafford in order to secure a regular place in the first team.

Back in January, after a series of inconsistent performances, James was touted for a move to Premier League duo Leeds and Brighton. </ Still, he made it to Manchester and Page and stood up for the absent Ryan Giggs a second time after his arrest in November, believing James was treated the right way to get him back for the best.

page added: « DJ has gone in depth from Swansea, where he plays championship football. He went to a huge club in Man United and was right to impress from the start.

“He’s played more or less every game, but with a young player there will be inconsistencies and you have to do that.

“I think Man United did that now. They pulled him out at the right time.

« There was speculation and conversation in January as to whether he would continue, but he decided against it because he saw the impact he had when he first went there and knew that that form would return.

« You have to do with young players because they can have a certain amount of inconsistency. »

Wales are without David Brooks for the World Cup double headers against Belgium and the Czechs Republic on March 30th and a friendly with Mexico in between.

Brooks is out with an ankle injury, but Page is confident the Bournemouth attacker will be fit for this summer’s Euro 2020 final.

Page said: « He’s a talent and he can win games. They want players like that to be included in the squad. »

« It’s frustrating again for him that he’s injured and a few delays . It’s difficult for him, but he will get over it. We talk for weeks, not months.

« This is great news for us and hopefully he’s ready for the euro when he recovers well and in the time we think. »
