A young girl got the « surprise of a lifetime » when she found a red-bellied black snake crawling up in her asthma inhaler.
Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers shared the incredible story 24/7 on their Facebook page, writing that it was « one of the most incredible places » they have ever found a snake.
« In a house in Bli Bli, a young girl got the surprise of her life. She brought the laundry in and when she put it on the bedroom floor, she saw a dark snake come out of her clothes. »
When snake catcher Heather got home, she found the red-bellied black snake in the teen’s asthma inhaler.
« This is crazy and super happy that we found the snake, » the post continued.
« It’s one of the most incredible places we’ve ever found a snake, and I’m glad Heather was able to safely catch and relocate it. »
The Facebook post has generated thousands of reactions since it was posted online yesterday. People write, « Be careful where you leave your buffer ».
Red-bellied black-bellied snakes are common on the east coast of Australia – they are generally not aggressive and usually retreat as they approach.
