Napoli have had big problems on the defensive lately and their offense just isn’t good enough. If we add the injuries they have to the mix, you’re only getting an average team at Napoli. In Serie A, Napoli is 3 places away from the Champions League place and they just don’t have the depth to play in either competition.
Granada is fighting too, but they come into this game with a massive advantage. Granada have only won 1 of their last 6 games and it was a game against Napoli last week. In their last LaLiga game, Granada played against Huesca on the street and had only 40% possession, 5 shots on goal, 2 corners, 1 big chance and 71% correct passes. Granada lost this game 3-2 after leading 0-1 in the 8th minute. Thanks to this defeat, Granada fell to 9th place with 30 points and has only scored 29 goals so far this season. Suarez and Herrera are Granada’s leading scorers in the Europa League with just two goals each. Herrera, Lozano, Suarez, Milla, Soldado and Sanchez are injured for Granada at this point. Offensively, Granada are one of the weakest teams in LaLiga and they are no better in the Europa League, but that 2-goal advantage is huge. Granada has a lot of injuries, including in the first leg, but I’m not sure if Granada can play two good games in a row.
I know Napoli are having problems and I know they have some important injuries, but Granada are the weaker side here and they are in equally bad shape. I’m going to take Napoli with me to qualify for the next stage even though I’m two goals behind because they are up for a breakout win.
