It’s no secret that the New Orleans Saints are struggling with space requirements this off-season. So much so that it will be a turbulent couple of weeks as the free agency approaches quickly.

NFL analyst Andrew Brandt sent Saints fans a clear message about how the Cap Space issues are this month be solved. Long story short, there will be « blood ».

« If you have any questions about teams like the saints getting under the hat, they have a week until March 17th to cut and dice » , tweeted Brandt on Tuesday. “It will be blood.” Brandt, like fans and other analysts, is definitely concerned about the Saints. New Orleans has a lot to do this month.

If you have any questions about teams like the Saints getting under the hood, they have a week until March 17th to slice and dice. It will be blood.

To be completely honest, we’ve seen this story of the saints before. New Orleans always wobbles out of a potential traffic jam despite the cap complications.

The Saints began figuring out their cap problems on Tuesday, but in surprising ways. The New Orleans franchise today marked the safety of Marcus Williams, costing the team an estimated $ 11 million in the process. Though surprising, the franchise-tagging Williams franchise is now giving the Saints an opportunity to work out a long-term deal ahead of the 2021 season that could make a little room in the cap.

The reality is that the Saints have been troubled for years with the cap, but they always found a way to get out of them and put together a competitive team. We wouldn’t expect anything less this off-season.

However, expect much of the NFL news to be about the New Orleans squad changes in the coming weeks.
