Nick Pope has made four appearances in England, but Carragher believes Everton’s Jordan Pickford is more likely to be replaced by Manchester United’s Dean Henderson

Pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher recently claimed Dean Henderson had better chances of becoming England’s goalkeeper of choice over Nick Pope.
Since Everton’s Jordan Pickford is not part of the last Three Lions squad due to injury, both shot stoppers could get their chance.
The men of Gareth Southgate will have their first European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with games against San Marino, Albania and Poland.
Also in the squad is West Brom’s goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, who has called his international debut.
Pope has again for Burnle this season y impressed and will look to build on his four international appearances over the next few years – although he has healthy competition for a place on the national team.
Since Manchester United’s Henderson is the toughest competition David De Gea has in Old Trafford has long faced, Carragher will think it will be extremely difficult for Pope to fulfill his wish for England.
« You think if Henderson becomes the United goalkeeper I always think that it is very difficult for an English coach not to choose a player in a top club, whether a goalkeeper or some other position, « Carragher told Sky Sports earlier this month.
