The Penrith Panthers were dealt a cruel wounded blow, and the whore Api Koroisau had to spend an extended period in the emergency room.

Penrith’s 2021 campaign was dealt a heavy blow when star hooker Api Koroisau broke her wrist just one week in the season.
The clever dummy half had wrist surgery and is expected to miss out on football for at least six weeks, including Saturday’s clash against the Bulldogs.

Koroisau’s injury forced him off the field in the middle of Penrith’s win over the Cowboys last week. Scans later confirmed the severity of the injury.
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary waited until a few hours before his team’s second clash with the Bulldogs to exclude Koroisau from the team. Mitch Kenny is expected to take his place after making three substitutions for the Fijian international last year.
Koroisau had one of the best seasons of his career in 2020, helping the Panthers 17 straight wins and a big place to win in the final. It was heralded as one of the season’s purchases, and some considered it unfortunate to miss a home country jersey.
Koroisau brought the much-needed big game experience to the young Panthers outfit last year, so the Panthers will likely miss his composure in upcoming games against the heavyweights of Melbourne and Canberra.
Cleary spoke to the media this week, saying his team will start their game plan against the Bulldogs on Saturday, now from former Penrith – Assistant Trent Barrett trained not to adapt.
« It’s going to be a pretty easy game, I don’t think there will be too many trick shots out there. » When we are there, we feel like we are prepared for it too. «
The Bulldogs will try to make up for their first-round loss to Newcastle, while last year’s runner-up will be keen to continue his victories to take it one step further in 2021.
