Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang claims his disciplinary situation with Mikel Arteta was resolved ahead of the Europa League clash with Olympiacos on Thursday.
Aubameyang was dropped last Sunday because of Arsenal’s win over Tottenham after he was late for the squad meeting before the game.
Arteta then declined to bring on the Arsenal captain to replace in the second half when the Gunners beat their rivals in north London 2-1 sealed.
On Wednesday Arteta confirmed that he and Aubameyang had addressed the situation before their game in the Europa League.
« In my own situation, I spoke to the boss and now everything is done – we do it continued, « wrote Aubameyang in his program notes ahead of the Arsenal-Olympiacos tie in the Europa League.
» I’m focused on the next game and it’s a big one for us. » We fought so hard last Thursday to get into that position. Now it’s time to quit.
“There is still a lot to do. We know everything about what happened against them last season. We were in a strong position after the first leg, but we didn’t kill them and were badly punished for it.
“That hit us very hard – it was hard to take. We thought we were through, then it was taken away. It was so painful for me to lose this game as well.
« We can’t let that happen again – we have to take advantage of it, beware of the opposition – but let’s play our game, aim for victory and us will get through. «
» He scored a brilliant goal in Greece last week and how he gets what everyone wants – a goal against our local neighbors! » He deserved it, he worked so hard, we all know he has goals in his game and now he has a few. I’m sure he’ll always get more for us, « wrote Aubameyang.
» He’s so smart, he knows when to get to the box and we know we have players from all over the world, deliver the quality – as Kieran did with the first goal. «
