Islamabad: The leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane from Nepal has replaced the Afghan Rashid Khan in the Lahore Qalandars squad for the rest of the Pakistani Super League.
The 20-year-old Lamichanne has already played Lahore in seven games of the Pakistani Twenty20 in 2019 -Liga.
Rashid entered national service after appearing in Lahore’s first two games against Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi.
In Rashid’s absence, Lahore lost his first game against Multan on Friday Sultans at seven wickets. However, Lahore is still the joint leader with Islamabad United after winning two out of three games.
Lamichanne can look back on an impressive Twenty20 record and 34 wickets in 21 internationals with an average of 14.55 and a savings rate of 6, Claim 51 runs per over.
