Glen Kamara faces a five-game ban after UEFA instituted disciplinary proceedings against the Rangers midfielder and Slavia Prague player he alleged of racism was charged.

Kamara was charged with « grievous bodily harm » after the European Football Association investigated allegations made by both parties following the victory of the Czech leaders in the Europa League on March 18 in Ibrox.

Slavia filed on the following Filed a criminal complaint against Kamara after he claimed to have beaten Ondrej Kudela.

Kudela faces a ban on at least 10 games if found guilty of offending Kamara’s “human dignity” because of his skin color and race The 34-year-old is also facing lesser charges of insulting Kamara for claiming he owned the Rangers game Eler referred to as « F ****** » rather than the racist accusation that Kamara and teammate Bongani Zungu heard.

After the Czech international actually admitted the lesser charge, the control, The UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Board (CEDB) has issued a preliminary entry ban « without prejudice to » a decision by the panel on the allegations of racism.

Slavia had previously announced that the defender was suffering from an illness and a facial injury caused by the Welsh midfielder’s elbow Gareth Bale in the nose would not travel to London for the quarter-finals against Arsenal.

Slavia reported to the UEFA inspector that « in the absence of compelling evidence to determine the substance of Mr Kudela’s remark, » the official « was not in the Was able to confirm or contradict Kamara’s or Zungu’s report « .

UEFA’s initial response was from Kamara’s attorney, Aamer Anwar k who, based on the evidence received by the European governing body, called for a ban on Kudela for at least a year.

Anwar added in a statement: « Kudela is not allowed to play the Europa League game against Arsenal, which also means that Police Scotland will not be able to question him on Thursday regarding their criminal investigation against him.

“I understand that the Scottish Police have sufficient evidence to bring charges against Kudela without speaking to him to have to.

« While UEFA has conducted an initial investigation into damn reading of Kudela’s behavior, this initial ban on one-game matches does little to instill confidence in UEFA that it is is serious about eradicating racism in football and they must act decisively in the future. «

» A game ban will be imposed on Kudela or Slavia Prague, who have already claimed that he is too sick to go to Ars To travel enal, make no difference. A game ban smells like ‘tokenism’ and gives little confidence to black players exposed to such heinous abuse.

« The overwhelming evidence against Kudela means UEFA must take immediate action to convict him for the crime who is accused of harshly punishing him. «

A statement from Slavia stated: » Given the pending UEFA disciplinary proceedings and police investigation, we will not comment on the matter further. «

In the minutes before Liverpool’s first leg against Leipzig, Jürgen Klopp reminded the players how good they actually are. The intent wasn’t just to get them out of one of the worst runs of domestic form the club had seen in years. It was the height of the opportunity to purify the air, as well as some thoughts.
