Sharon Osbourne is already hitting back on Sheryl Underwood’s claim that Osbourne never reached out or apologized to her after her dustup on « The Talk » on March 10th.
57-year-old Underwood revealed in the latest Followed her podcast « The World According to Sheryl » that she had not spoken to Osbourne since the conversation, and when asked if Osbourne had held out her hand, replied: « No! » scroll through her phone messages for evidence.
But 68-year-old Osbourne leaked receipts from her own Tuesday to the Daily Mail, sent a series of screenshots of her alleged texts to Underwood, and told the site, “I didn’t have these messages just sent to Sheryl but also apologized personally to her locker room. Why do you say I never apologized to Sheryl? What are you trying to do to me Why are you trying to destroy my reputation Just be honest. Tell me. «
» ‘Sheryl, my heart is heavy and I am deeply saddened by what happened on Wednesday, « read a screenshot from Osbourne on March 12th.
» I want my true friend not lose. I’m sorry I told you to leave during recess. I’m sorry I accused you of crying wrongly while we were on the air, and I’m sorry that I lost my temper with you. «
Osbourne continued, » I was shocked, scared and saddened by a blind attack. You know me. You know how I’ve always had your back. We all survived on this show and that’s because we were always a team and turned their backs on each other. «
» I consider you a real friend. If you want to call over the weekend, I’m here. Once again from the bottom of my heart I am sorry. Is there anything that you need from me or that I can do to help you heal? Love and respect always – Sharon. «
A follow-up message dated March 15th read: » Hi Sheryl. I know you are seated and I don’t want to disregard this. I’m just reaching for something because I want you to know I’m thinking of you. If you’re ready, can we speak before Wednesday? Big kiss. «
Osbourne’s allegedly last note, dated March 18, reads, » Sheryl, I’m thinking of you. Hope you’re okay. Send mine Love. «
A March 15 exclusivity seems to confirm Osbourne’s version of the events. A source reports that she [Underwood] wrote a very detailed, emotional, and heartfelt apology on Friday. « It was very personal and Sheryl didn’t come back to her. »
Osbourne left The Talk two weeks after a heated argument with Underwood over Osbourne’s defense of pal Piers Morgan, who left his own show in the UK after blowing up Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
