Authorities were involved in a high-speed car chase Thursday morning in South Florida that resulted in the arrest of a suspect.
The chase reportedly began around 10:15 a.m. in Miami Gardens and lasted more than 45 minutes.
Aerial photographs showed Florida Highway Patrol officers and officers chasing the stolen dark sedan.
The car was seen traveling at high speed on highways and back roads and at one point drove in the south-facing lanes of the Interstate 75 heading north.
After avoiding authorities by dangerously avoiding traffic and repeatedly changing directions, the car stopped in a Miami-Dade neighborhood on Northwest 43rd Street and Northwest 22nd Court, where the suspect surrendered.
