One person has died after being dragged out of the surf by lifeguards on a beach on the Sunshine Coast.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the person was on the beach on Kingfisher Drive at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday morning was pulled out of the water by lifeguards on Peregian Beach.
The swimmer, whose age and gender are not yet known, was in critical condition and died on the scene.
