The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has issued a circular shortening the working day by two hours for all workers in the country’s private sector during the holy month of Ramadan 1442 Hijri.
Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister for Human Resources and Emiratisation, issued the circular implementing Article 65 of Federal Law No. 08 for 1980 on the Regulation of Labor Relations.

According to circulars, official working hours of ministries and federal agencies in Ramadan start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m., with the exception of those whose Work requires something different.
The circular is in line with the decision of the UAE cabinet on the regulation of the federal labor law on official working hours in Ramadan.
