I did a 720 recently and it was a battle. The last one I did before was over three years ago and it’s a lot harder now: all in all, recently dislocated fingers are hindering my grip, my spin is slower so I have to go higher for a full rotation and … I am real old. pic.twitter.com/u8pbwRhS9j
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk shared a video in which he landed a 720 at the age of 52 – two full spins in the air.
Hawk is considered the greatest Skateboarder of all time and retired from professional competition in 2003, but kept his sponsorships.
Perhaps his greatest name recognition was the first skater to land 900, two and a half full spins at the 1999 X Games. The trick was considered almost impossible at the time, and several other skaters had tried it.
Hawk only landed a 900 in 2016 at the age of 48 and posted the video on his Twitter account.
