The Herald Sun first reported the breakup on Friday night, revealing the breakup occurred just months after the couple celebrated the birth of their third child Sadie Rose in March

It comes as Amie Rohan posted a cryptic and inspiring message to her 35,000 Instagram followers this week – sparking a flow of supportive messages from figures in the Australian sports industry, including Channel 9 star Erin Molan and Abby Gilmore

« Please be strong in who you are and don’t let the actions of another convince you that you are not good enough as you are, » the post read

The sad news confirmed the rumblings surrounding the couple since Amie was a notable absentee when numerous partners and children at the club joined the players at their Gold Coast isolation center in August

Report claims Amie stayed on the Bellarine coast near Geelong with her daughters Bella and Sadie Rose, seven months

This comes after unfounded rumors Cats star Tom Hawkins confronted Rohan about his behavior during the Cats’ isolation on the Gold Coast

Despite the turbulence off the pitch, Rohan became a key player in the Cats’ charge until this year’s AFL grand final when the club were beaten by Richmond at the Gabba last month

Last year, Amie revealed the couple are expecting again after sharing the heartbreaking journey of their first pregnancy with twins – Bella and Willow – including the heartbreaking discovery of just 11 weeks in which Willow would not survive during childbirth

The twins were born on April 12, 2018, but Willow – who suffered from a fatal unresolved neural tube defect known as anencephaly – died after five hours

Amie spoke to Harper’s Bazaar magazine last year about the decision to bring Willow to fruition

“We sat down and we said, ‘This trip was written for us to continue on it,” she said

« We spent about five hours with Willow before she passed away. During those five hours I learned a lot about life and how precious she is Even though her time here was so fleeting she was a girl very incredible «
