Property Council congratulates Basil Zempilas on his election as Mayor of the City of Perth

Property Council WA Executive Director Sandra Brewer said today’s result will bring welcome certainty to the City of Perth community

« The Property Council looks forward to working constructively with Basil Zempalis and all newly elected Councilors over the next three years »,

“The city of Perth is the epicenter of economic activity in the state, and the Property Council is ready to work with the city to define policies that will ensure the success and prosperity of CBD businesses and surrounding neighborhoods « 

According to the recent ANZ Property Council survey, WA leads the country as the strongest state for economic growth expectations The Property Council looks forward to working with the newly appointed Council to implement the ideas set out in his report, A Plan for Perth: Nine Ideas to Boost Economic Activity, Create Jobs and Build Confidence

« We look forward to working with the Council on policy reforms aimed at addressing issues such as homelessness, economic recovery from COVID-19, and communal interest rates – which are capital rates the highest proportion of business costs in Australia ”, Ms. Brewer explained
