Man fights for life in central coast hospital after being severely stabbed at gas station in what police believe was a random attack

Emergency crews were called to a gas station on The Entrance Rd, Long Jetty, around 4 a.m., where they found a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds to the shoulder

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in critical condition and has since undergone emergency surgery

Authorities say up to five men approached the victim before an argument broke out and the man was repeatedly stabbed, 9

Agents have launched a search for the perpetrators, who are believed to be a group of men in their 20s
