Who might have caught the attention of your club’s referees? This is my Brownlow prediction for all 18 teams

AdelaideRory Laird 8Matt Crouch 3Reilly O’Brien 3Lachie Sholl 3
No contest here, Laird was brilliant in their victories

BrisbaneLachie Neale 26Jarryd Lyons 11Journe Zorko 8
Lions’ mids are level after Neale, with Hugh McCluggage and Jarrod Berry also on seven Zorko has sounded well, but has played further this year Lyon have had some big games

CarltonSam Walsh 11Patrick Cripps 9Ed Curnow 5
Remarkably, the Cripps might not win the Blues tally He has had very few dominant games, although Walsh is counting on some of his losing votes

CollingwoodTaylor Adams 14Scott Pendlebury 11Adam Treloar 7
A 50-50 between Adams and Pendlebury, as umpires could potentially take a year to give Adams recognition Steele Sidebottom (six votes) still gets some random twos and three, but has had an injury-riddled year

EssendonZac Merrett 13Andy McGrath 8Dylan Shiel 7
Merrett usually wins the Bombers tally and this year will be no exception McGrath is now a B midfielder and is expected to come close to Merrett Jordan Ridley (three votes) won the best and fairer, but is generally not a big winner

FremantleNat Fyfe 12Andrew Brayshaw 9Michael Walters 7David Mundy 7
Fyfe hasn’t had its best year, as Brayshaw and Adam Cerra (four voices) stepped up their supporting roles in the midfield Luke Ryan (six), who has won a large number of contested interception points, can question as well as any defender

GeelongPatrick Dangerfield 15Cam Guthrie 13Tom Hawkins 11
Although he played as well as last year, Dangerfield won’t get as many votes in 2020 He was more consistent, but had fewer dominant games, while Guthrie and Sam Menegola (ten votes) stepped up in the Midfielder Menegola could question even better, but keep a low profile

Gold CoastMatt Rowell 9Touk Miller 6Hugh Greenwood 4
Remarkably, Rowell probably got enough votes in his first three games to win their tally. He doesn’t have much room for error though, so Miller or Greenwood could steal the win if Rowell misses any of his three.

GWSToby Greene 9Lachie Whitfield 9Josh Kelly 7
A very disappointing season for the Giants shows in their votes, no one expected to receive more than ten Greene had big games in the first half of the season and is expected to fight Whitfield for the top votes

HawthornChad Wingard 9Tom Mitchell 6Jack Gunston 6
This is one of the most surprising results, Mitchell managing only six votes in my tally He could easily beat Wingard if the referees didn’t fully reward Wingard for his scintillating form at the start of the season.

MelbourneChristian Petracca 18Max Gawn 15Clayton Oliver 9
Petracca has a wide range of votes He could come close to Neale due to his flashy and powerful playstyle, but he also didn’t have many games where he was clearly the best on the pitch. Oliver tends not to interrogate as well as Gawn, although Oliver has reached a new level this year

North MelbourneJed Anderson 7Todd Goldstein 6Jy Simpkin 4Shaun Higgins 4
It was slim picks for my team unfortunately Simpkin had some outstanding games but Anderson was better in wins

Port AdelaideTravis Boak 20Ollie Wines 13Tom Rockliff 10
Wines sound good and could steal enough votes from Boak to give Neale the victory Rockliff was also very good late in the season, while Charlie Dixon (eight votes) and Zak Butters (five) were the non-midfielders’ pick. ground

RichmondDustin Martin 17Shai Bolton 8Kane Lambert 7
In a very even camp, Martin was the only one to stand out Bolton, arguably the AFL’s most improved player, broke through the midfield with pace and agility so often

St KildaJack Steele 17Zak Jones 10Rowan Marshall 8Jack Billings 8
Jones’ pace and bald head should earn him plenty of votes in the first half of the season. He was almost as good as Steele at this time, but Steele has continued his good form throughout the year. Ruckmen who throw goals get votes and Marshall is one of the best

SydneyLuke Parker 11Isaac Heeney 6Jake Lloyd 5Tom Papley 5
Josh P Kennedy is generally in the top two for Sydney, but I could only find two votes for him this year Heeney won the game in sets 1 and 3 before succumbing to injury It will be interesting to see how Lloyd becomes AFL number three for disposals

West CoastNic Naitanui 13Tim Kelly 8Josh J Kennedy 8Liam Ryan 8
This is perhaps the most intriguing ranking, as influential Naitanui clashes with a group of prolific midfielders including Kelly, Andrew Gaff (seven votes) and Dom Sheed (six) Kennedy and Ryan each have a few games. of votes, but are capped at ten votes

Western BulldogsMarcus Bontempelli 16Jack Macrae 13Caleb Daniel 6
Bontempelli comes home to pass Macrae by my tally Daniel is a good chance for third place, but Bailey Smith (four votes) narrowly missed a few times so his long hair could easily earn him a few bonus votes

Overall
1 Lachie Neale – 26 voices
2 Travis Boak – 20
3 Christian Petracca – 18 years old
4 Dustin Martin – 17 years old
4 Jack Steele – 17 years old
