World News – UA – NRL Finals Week 2 Live: Roosters Vs Raiders

The roosters of Sydneyâ ???? third consecutive hunt for prime minister seems to be fading after a mind-blowing Canberra first half and scary moment

LNR: The rivalry between Trent Robinson and Ricky Stuart continues to bubble beneath the surface as the Raiders prepare to face the Roosters this weekend

The Canberra Raiders got off to a quick start against the Sydney Roosters, scoring in just the fourth minute

But while points may not yet be a major concern for the Roosters, the back-to-back champions may already be in a tough spot with Luke Keary already leaving the pitch with an alleged head injury.

The Raiders were fined one field position after a stroke that was deemed late by referee Ashley Klein, having the green machine on the field

The Raiders got another boost when second rower Hudson Young grabbed the boot from Roosters full-back James Tedesco, tripping him up in defense and getting a six again

But up close in a game as important as this, Raiders heavyweight Josh Papalii couldn’t be stopped with Roosters Luke Keary diving late for a last desperate attempt

But the Roosters superstar sent a scare through the prime ministers on defense with a clash with Papalii as he dived

With a concussion story that ruled him out of the entire State of Origin series last year, it’s a scary scene for the Roosters star

Even Papalii seemed to need to get rid of it by breaking the line

« Luke Keary is now becoming the story, we understand it’s a whim that sees him struggling a bit, he certainly did after the try was scored, » Ginanne said.  » We know the tragedies he lived «

Luckily for the Roosters, Keary returned in the 20th minute, just after George Williams scored a Jordan Rapana break as the Raiders opened up a 12-0 lead

Luke Keary returning for Roosters after HIA So despite the massive head shock we all say, the fact that he was clearly stunned and commentators thought he wasn’t coming back, turns out that after HIA, it wasn’t a concussionI wonder what it was? #NRL #Raiders #Roosters

The Raiders’ Joseph Tapine then scored an absolute cry of a solo try to make it 16-0 after 22 minutes

Catching the ball with nothing, he probed across the pitch and broke through for an incredible solo try

Canberra Raiders can take revenge for 2019 Grand Final defeat if they can end Sydney Roosters’ season and hunt down a 37-year slice of history

The Roosters hope to become the first team since the Parramatta Eels 1981-83 to win three consecutive major finals

The Raiders lost 14-8 as the Roosters went back to back, but a feud was reignited between the Raiders ‘Ricky Stuart and the Roosters’ Trent Robinson

The feud dates back to a rather innocuous moment in a post-game press conference in 2017 after the Raiders took down the Roosters during the Origin period, when the Roosters had five absent players.

This led to a war of words with Robinson’s response after the game when Stuart said he was tired of the coaches complaining at Origin time because they « won the grand final because of the players in repeat «

Robinson replied, « Ricky is recruiting this team and he has built this team the way he wants. It is up to them to be selected or not, ”he said

« He said a few weeks ago that they were chased for the quality of their play last year, they were struggling this year He obviously thinks they’re some of the best teams, so that’s their boat. We’ll take care of ours «

Then there was the tense standoff ahead of last year’s grand finale when Stuart and Robinson refused to shake hands or even look at each other.

But on Thursday morning, Stuart gave the perfect quote to add a little more spice to the clash than only he could

Often careful not to cross the line but to aim when he needs it – such as when aiming for the referees and the NRL football manager on the eve of the final – Stuart apparently took a sneaky shot on the Roosters and has often commented on the « salary sombrero » when talking about the composition of his team

« I asked them to be patient because we had to do things differently here, » Stuart said Thursday morning.

« We couldn’t just go out and buy rep players We had to produce our own and generate our own momentum

« I think looking at it, Elliott (Whitehead) and John Bateman may have been the two representative players we bought Elliott many years ago

« Others have become representative players and have developed through each other’s playstyles here at the club This part of the trip – albeit over several years – has been great to be a part of »

« If we show up and play our best football game, we’re going to be in the fight If we don’t show up and the players play their best football game, we won’t win We won’t win any game, again minus a final «

There is no doubt that the Roosters, many of whom question their credentials as prime minister, would have heard the slide loud and clear
