The first night of The Bachelorette Australia 2020 certainly turned out beautifully Counting the tears, rejections and a lot of dancing, it was quite a spectacle
But one moment that left viewers perplexed was when suitor Ab Sow turned down Becky Miles’ rose, making history as the first contender to quit the show – of their own accord – during the first of the series
Although it only seemed to have eyes for Becky during her (very memorable) red carpet appearance, the videographer looked desperate when she called out her name at the rose ceremony.
He then took the 30-year-old aside and quietly admitted to her that he didn’t see a future with her
« It’s okay that I am being honest with you now instead of letting you know later »
Viewers of the show were also quick to praise Ab’s response and we are inclined to agree, especially since many former candidates have been accused of applying for the ‘show with questionable intentions
A look at the surge in Instagram follower numbers hitting candidates who find themselves far in the competition and it’s easy to see why some people may see the show’s platform as a way to improve their public profile
