The Weeknd seems to be getting a number of nods after releasing its acclaimed album After Hours earlier this year with possible entries for Song of the Year and Record of the Year (for « Blinding Lights »). .

Swift, once a guaranteed presence at the Grammys, dabbled in snubs for their Reputation and Lover albums. However, Folklore, their most critically acclaimed album in years, seems guaranteed to get nods in at least some of the big four categories. Fiona Apple’s Fetch the Bolt Cutters, another of the most acclaimed albums of 2020, saw the artist return to the main categories 23 years after being nominated for Best New Artist.

As a relative newcomer, Dua Lipa could get a nomination for her critically acclaimed second album Future Nostalgia, while Harry Styles could be a competitor to Fine Line, the sequel to his self-titled 2017 debut. Both would mark a return of great British talent at the Grammys after a few quiet years.

BTS fans hope the K-Pop stars will receive a song of the year nomination for “Dynamite,” which shattered a number of streaming records when it was released in August. Despite being one of the greatest bands in the world, BTS has only received a Grammy nod to date for the best recording package.
