SCOTT Brown says former media pros criticize Celtic for being JEALOUS of their accomplishments.

The Hoops captain returned to the starting grid for the Scottish Cup final against Hearts today.

He and his teammates were at the wrong end of much criticism after the bad run in which they were eliminated from Europe and the Betfred Cup.

Brown blames ex-pros in the media for wanting them to fail.

« Lots of ex-pros are out there and a little jealous of what we’ve been doing for the past four to five years.

« A lot of players definitely feel like they show that spirit, both in training and in games. « 

Meanwhile, the Hoops have their eye on loans for the West Brom couple Kyle Edwards and Rekeem Harper.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon plans to add to his roster next month and has the Baggies duo on his radar.

Midfielder Harper, 20, was close to joining Celts in the summer of 2019 but chose to stay with the Hawthorns.

Lennon even got to see him personally during the championship play-offs against Aston Villa and is now ready to take a new dive.

Winger Edwards is also interesting for the Hoops after falling out of favor under old boss Slaven Bilic.

The 22-year-old has only started one game in the Premier League this season and is enthusiastic about regular football.
