Despite rising numbers, Texas has Gov. . Greg Abbott said last week he would not order any more bans, which would create friction with local officials looking for more authority to order restrictions, The Texas Tribune reported.
« We will no longer have bans in the state of Texas, » Abbott said in a radio interview. “Our focus will be on curing people with COVID, getting them out of hospitals quickly, and making sure they get back to their normal lives. ”
