Coronation Street will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a bang next week when Ray Crosby’s plan to demolish the street is exposed.

It’s finally time for Yasmeen Nazir as the jury decides whether she is guilty of the attempted murder of estranged husband Geoff.

But Geoff and Alya lock the horns again, causing the radio DJ to attack Alya before a wild showdown on the roof.

The residents of Coronation Street will begin their revolt against the demolition facilities next week – but they have no idea there is a rat among them.

Ken inadvertently informs Debbie that they are going to file an application for the brewery to be listed to save them from the bulldozer.

Debbie immediately tells Ray about the plans and infuriates him when he insists they tear them down before they can submit the proposal.

After camping outdoors during the night, all residents celebrate that they can slow down the bulldozer.

When Debbie Ray calls in panic, the protesters are furious as Ray’s workers begin dismantling their camp.

Abi jumps into the excavator’s cab and mocks Ray’s men, but loses control of the vehicle and hits a substation.

The power supply on the street went down, but Kevin is confused by how Ray managed to hear of their plans so quickly.

Faye tries to put her worries about Ray aside as she is flattered when he asks her to have a drink with him.

But later, when Gary enters the bistro with a contract for the factory, he hears Faye’s muffled screams from the office.

Gary orders Ray to open the door and Faye appears in tears with a torn blouse and runs away.

Angry, he follows her and later in her apartment he and Maria try to comfort her.

It is finally the day of the trial as the final fresh evidence could either enforce justice or the Yasmeen nightmare begins.

The next day, the aftermath of the verdict causes Geoff and Alya to compete again.
