Viewers will recall that Lola (Danielle Harold) slept with ex-boyfriend Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) earlier this year, but begged him to keep the fling calm so as not to hurt Jay (Jamie Borthwick)
With her relationship now firmly entrenched, Lola couldn’t bring herself to feel horny in Thursday’s episode when Jay found them a new apartment in Albert Square
Her displeasure was only amplified when she went out for brunch with Isaac Baptiste (Stevie Basaula), and he offered to take her on a real date because it was obvious she was not happy with Jay
« You have to do what’s right for you, but if that doesn’t work, you better tell him now than if you’re both trapped in a dead end apartment, » Isaac insisted.
Now that Isaac’s words echoed in her mind, Lola decided it was time to finally make it clear with Jay her affair with Peter as well as her unhappiness in their relationship.
« I love you I really, really love you, but we’ve been parting ways since before the lockdown, » Lola explained. « I know you feel it too »
Admitting that she had slept with Peter, Lola insisted: « I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to lose you I still haven’t I’m sorry Jay, I’m so sorry »
Lola begged Jay to « say something », but he would just walk past her and slam the door as she left the apartment
