World News – UK – Elvis Presley’s Graceland turns PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month


Elvis Presley’s home in Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee is lit up in pink every night for the next week The reason being to help raise Brest cancer awareness The King’s Mansion made the announcement earlier this week with a photo of the front of the house in pink

The Graceland statement read: « Elvis Presley’s historic Graceland will light up pink every night from October 1-11 to remind everyone of the benefits of early detection in the fight against breast cancer

« To help raise awareness, Graceland joins countless other famous sites, buildings and monuments around the world that display pink as a symbol of hope and empowerment »

This is not the first time that the Memphis Mansion has been lit in different colors this year

Despite the closure, Elvis’ house was showing a patriotic ‘sign of solidarity’, which fans could see via the live webcam

Undoubtedly, Elvis fans were happy with the touching symbol, especially since The King was a patriot

Meanwhile, according to the latest news from Graceland, Elvis’ only grandson, Benjamin Keough, has been buried next to his grandfather

Elvis is buried in the meditation garden right next to the mansion, between his grandmother and his father

Graceland wrote on his official Facebook page: “Benjamin Storm Presley Keough was laid to rest in the Graceland Meditation Garden with his family, including his grandfather, Elvis Presley, his great-grandmother, Gladys Presley , her great-grandfather, Vernon Presley and great-great-grandmother, Minnie Mae Presley « 

His mother is Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis’ only child, while his father is singer-songwriter Danny Keough

Danny was Lisa Marie’s first husband from 1988 to 1994 Lisa Marie has three surviving daughters, the eldest being Benjamin’s older sister, Riley Keough

Their father is guitarist Michael Lockwood, the fourth husband of Lisa Marie, whom she married in 2006 and from whom she has been separated since 2016
