Guy Ritchie is the latest victim of London’s thieves after his luxurious home was broken into over the weekend.
The movie giant’s home in Fitzrovia, central London, has become the newest destination for the bandits who have wreaked havoc in the capital in recent months.
Raiders rummaged through properties in the sprawling home but left with nothing after the Met police were alerted that the intruders had forced entry.
However, it is not known if the 52-year-old Guy was home when the intruders walked through his belongings.
A source revealed the group was captured by a resident of the swanky property before « legging » it down the exclusive street.
Speaking to The Sun, a neighbor of Madonna’s ex said: « It’s shocking and always worrying to hear about an incident like this.
« This is for private security, to go for a walk at night and to keep an eye on yourself. They are monitoring the area, we believe that organized criminals are operating in the area targeting these houses. «
They added that residents of the area are aware that they are prime targets and hoped the police will be able to catch the culprits.
Guy, known for films like The Gentlemen, shares the eight-bedroom property with his second wife, Jacqui Ainsley, 39.
They spend their time between the humble London residence and the Wiltshire estate he got after divorcing pop star Madonna.
A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman told Daily Star: « Detectives are investigating after a report of a break-in at a residential address in Fitzrovia W11.
« The incident is believed to have taken place on Sunday June 6th. December, between 6:50 am and 7:20 am.
They added that no arrests have been made and those who may have witnessed the incident will be asked to contact the police.
The property also became home to squatters in 2011 while Richie was renovating his new family home.
The group known as the Really Free School is believed to have offered to give classes in squatting, tarot reading, and anarchy while they were occupying the building.
