« The only reason we think we would be closing a dining room at this point is if the local government made us do it, » he said.

« A ban will keep a lot of people from work, » he said. « It’s really not about business – it’s about people. These people have jobs, they have a livelihood, they have to look after their families.

« The incentive helped a lot of restaurants, and especially a lot of people, early on, » he added. « But what you cannot appreciate enough is the safety and security of someone they can rely on. … Governments cannot replace all the salaries in the economy that you want to close. We have to find safe ways to move forward. ”
