CBS sitcom season 8 premieres Thursday
Allison Janney and fellow mom star Jaime Pressly discuss Anna Faris’ exit from the CBS sitcom ahead of the Season 8 premiere this week
Janney, who plays Bonnie, the mother of Christy de Faris, told Entertainment Tonight her departure was « a huge loss »
« It’s a huge loss for the show not to have Anna because she was involved in creating a character, Christy that everyone fell in love with, who was so sweet and warm and gullible and funny and we will miss her so much, ”said Janney, 60
She continued, « I think it’s the relationship between Bonnie and Christy that I will miss the most, although it will continue But she won’t be around This is what I’m going to miss »

Pressley, who plays Jill Kendall, said that with Faris’ absence and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, « it’s a whole different set right now »
“But I want to say I feel like she’s still around because we talk about the character all the time,” continued Pressly, 43, “And [Janney’s] character calls her out. always or vice versa We always hear the name, we always talk about her She hasn’t gone as far as we are concerned, and we’ve all spent so much time together over the years and we love and support each other and we all want to be happy for each other, so we are happy for her and we miss her no matter what «
Janney also teased that the new season, which premieres on Thursday, will further highlight Bonnie’s relationship with her husband, Adam (William Fichtner)
