A forest fire which became known as Diamond Fire erupted just after 12 p.m. Friday afternoon on the dry hill in southern San Francisco which is home to the famous « Industrial City » sign, and this led to evacuation orders for neighboring houses
Fire crews were responding to what was called a four-alarm fire, as reported by the NBC Bay Area, on Sign Hill in southern SF There are said to be two planes and a helicopter in flight in the area in connection with the shooting
The fire is burning very close to houses in the area and at least one house is said to have caught fire at 1:08 a.m.m
Evacuation orders have been issued for residents of Ridgeview Court, Carnelian Road, Sonja Road, Viewmont Terrace and Mountain Road
A weather station in the area posted winds of 18 miles per hour According to #Firemappers, only a tenth of an acre burned, but we are waiting for updates

Update 1:28 pm: CAFireScanner reports the fire « hit a few residential properties, but was all destroyed » The blaze had grown to around five acres and its maximum potential expansion was set at 10 acres
