WASHINGTON – Evangelist Franklin Graham led a prayer walk Saturday in Washington, DC that sought God’s healing for a nation in crisis

« I think our country is in trouble, and Democrats will tell you, Republicans will tell you, We come today to call on the name of God, because I believe that only God can solve the problems that we face in this nation today, ”Graham said at“ Fox & Friends Weekend ”ahead of the march

Graham, president of Samaritan’s Purse and son of the late Billy Graham, hosted the 1st 8 Mile Prayer in Washington in March 2020, which started at the Lincoln Memorial at noon on Saturday and ended on the Capitol Steps

« My prayer is for healing – that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as a nation we would look to him You know, 150 years ago your pastors, the churches, were the political leaders from every community, ”Graham told co-host Pete Hegseth

« I believe the socialists in this country would like to close the churches, but I will just pray that we turn our eyes to God, » he said

« We come today, from all the states to pray, to humble ourselves, to confess the sins of our nation to God, to ask for his forgiveness, and to call upon him, to help our nation, and we will pray for our representatives Republican, Democrat, we will pray for all «

The bipartisan prayer march comes amid a global pandemic, a rocky presidential race and racial and social unrest across the country

« We will try to cover everyone in government with our prayers, and we are not just going to pray quietly I asked everyone as we walk, pray aloud while we go I want let everyone in this city know that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been made manifest, and that we are here in His name, ”Graham said
