World News – US – Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are engaged: see the ring!

The 51-year-old singer and 44-year-old country star announced the news Tuesday with an engagement photo of sweet kisses on Stefani’s Instagram page

Shelton shared the same photo, writing: « @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020 And the rest of my life I love you I heard a YES! »

ET has learned that the couple recently got engaged in Oklahoma, where Shelton has a house, over the weekend of October 17

Stefani and Shelton have been dating since November 2015, after the two stars went through sudden and shocking splits with their respective partners Shelton and his ex-wife Miranda Lambert divorced quickly and quietly in July 2015, while Stefani and Gavin Rossdale announced their separation in August 2015 and finalized their divorce in April 2016

Earlier this month Stefani was asked on Today With Hoda & Jenna about the possibility of tying the knot with Shelton after the pandemic is over

« Oh that’s a really good question » said Stefani « The good news is we still love each other very much It’s okay I don’t know We’ll see what happens »

The couple won a CMT Music Award earlier this month and Shelton opened up to ET on their journey together

“We’ve been together for five years now, believe it or not We’ve worked together and we’ve written together,” Shelton explained “So at this point in our relationship we’re still looking for what we don’t have still accomplished « 

Stefani and Shelton weren’t shy about showing their love for each other, including giving fans plenty of cute moments between them as coaches on The Voice AND spoke with Shelton in June 2019 and he explained how Stefani changed him

« She’s never been a supportive or cheerleader, just the most supportive person I’ve ever had in my life, on every level, » he said. « That’s amazing how supportive she is I tell her this all the time, and she doesn’t realize it, but Gwen is one of those people that I learn so much from, because no matter what the situation, she has a way of looking at something thing from every possible angle, and understanding if there’s any unrest or something going on, instead of jumping to conclusions or reacting, is, ‘Well, here’s why they can feel that’

« I learned a lot from her – not being as responsive as before », he continued « She certainly helped me calm down, for sure »

When asked about wedding plans, Shelton told ET their relationship is definitely going in that direction

« You know I have to say we couldn’t be happier and we’ve never done better, » he said « Obviously this has to lead somewhere, but I got it for you. promise, we won’t run the news in any of the grocery trash magazines « 

Clearly the two are here for the long haul Last year ET learned that the couple bought a new home together in Encino, Calif. Shelton also got closer to Stefani’s three sons with Rossdale – Kingston , 14, Zuma, 12 and Apollo, 6

“Gwen and Blake do so many fun activities with the boys and Blake plays with them like a big kid,” a source told ET in August. “He really enjoys doing things with kids like going to the movies, fishing, camping and teaching them to horseback riding and canoeing « 

« They both work extremely hard and love their family life, » the source continued, « Blake has made Gwen’s boys a high priority in his life and takes care of them as if they were his own. »

« He’s a good dad, actually » said Stefani « He’s helped me a lot, so I literally get to the point where I’m like, ‘You gotta go home, I need help ‘It’s hard I have three boys « 

« I never thought that in my wildest dreams, on paper, a cowboy and a ska-like girl from Anaheim would date, but it works perfectly and we are having so much fun and each other. feel so blessed to be at this point in our life, ”she says

“I feel like I’ve spent the last four years healing, you know, trying to rebuild my life,” she told Shape magazine. “Having a best friend like Blake for me ‘helping to do this has been one of the greatest gifts « 

Stefani has also gushed about his simple pleasures with Shelton, which include playing « bad » tennis together and visiting his Oklahoma ranch

“Spending time in the middle of America [at Blake’s ranch] – that’s something I never expected,” she shared “The way we live at the ranch is really simple There are watermelons Blake planted and all my wildflowers It’s a nice contrast to MOON, even though I keep 20 chickens in the yard here at home too «
