The final moments of the two-hour premiere provided another twist, something This Is Us fans know equals to the tournament
When we return to William and Laurel’s apartment, paramedics are able to detect the pulse in Randall’s mother and turn out to be alive
In addition to the viewers discovering that Randall’s mother did not die in childbirth, and may not have died at all, another story woven into the premiere is Randall’s separation from therapist D. Lee (Pamela Adlon) in favor of trying « something different »: treatment with a black psychotherapist
Fans became convinced that Randall’s mother was going to become his therapist, and theories were flooding social media so much that the official writers account on This Is Us had to clarify: « It won’t end up as Randall’s healer »
Laurel will be a « recurring part, » says Dan Fogelman, the creator of the content, so rest assured it won’t go away
Jennifer C. Holmes may be known to fans of CSI: Miami, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Story of Miya, where she plays Miya
