Megan Thee Stallion took advantage of her solo debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live to call Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron
The rapper played audio of activists Malcolm X and Tamika Mallory during her performance to criticize Cameron’s handling of the case of Breonna Taylor, who was killed by Louisville police
« Daniel Cameron is no different from the sold-out negroes who sold our people into slavery, » Mallory was heard as the words appeared behind Megan on the screen
Megan then launched her own speech saying, « We have to protect black women and love our black women because at the end of the day we need our black women.
« We have to protect black men and stand up for our black men because at the end of the day we are tired of seeing the hashtags of our black men, » she said
Taylor, a 26-year-old paramedic, was sleeping in her apartment when cops entered her home during a narcotics investigation and repeatedly shot her after her boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shot her once with his legally licensed gun on what he believed to be house invaders
Cameron, who is the state’s first black attorney general, has come under fire after a grand jury decided not to charge any of the cops with Taylor’s death
Only one officer was charged with gratuitous endangerment for bullets that flew into the wall of his neighbor’s house
