To bring the style behind the heavy metal rhythm shooter of Metal: Hellsinger even further home, there was a gameplay music video with James Dorton of Schwarze Krone initiating.
Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythm game like no other. When it was first unveiled earlier this year, it choked our teeth with brutal first-person shooter gunplay played in time for the heavy metal beat of its intense soundtrack. The Outsiders and Funcom have an interesting game on their hands, and in case you haven’t figured it out by now, they have put together a fantastic new gameplay music video to showcase it.
Metal: Hellsinger’s new gameplay video was released on Jan.. Published November 2020 on Funcom’s YouTube channel. Tap Black Metal Initiate’s James Dorton for a performance of the intense Poetry of Cinder track. We’re going to take another look at Metal: Hellsinger’s playing experience, while Dorton highlights the vocals of the punchy song. As we can see in the trailer below, Metal: Hellsinger’s first person shooter experience is played in time for the music, while players fire shots and fight enemies to the rhythm of the song for more point bonuses.
Dorton’s appearance on this particular gameplay show gives a good idea of how the gameplay will play out in Metal: Hellinger, but he won’t be the only one delivering. Trivium lead guitar and vocalist Matt Heafy, Arch Enemy vocalist, Alissa White-Gluz, Dark Tranquility vocalist, Mikael Stanne, and Soilwork’s Björn Strid were confirmed when they announced that they would be performing on the melting soundtrack, and there’s a lot more that came from. According to reports, if you keep getting good results in the game, the music will intensify until you have an epic heavy metal chorus to accompany your grueling run.
Metal: Hellsinger is still planned for 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. Few news have limited the start window so far. That said, it’s great to see the game in action again and we look forward to seeing more as we approach the year ahead.
