Chuba Hubbard looks to start another dominant season Saturday when he and the No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in the teams’ coronavirus-delayed opener at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla. Hubbard, a junior running back from Alberta, Canada, led the FBS last season in several categories, including rushing yards (2,094), rushing yards per game (161.1), 100-yard rushing games (12), 200-yard rushing games (four) and all-purpose yards per game (179.5). On Saturday he faces a Tulsa defense that last season ranked 90th in the country in rushing yards allowed per game (185.1).

Kickoff is set for noon ET. The Cowboys are 23.5-point favorites in the latest Oklahoma State vs. Tulsa odds from William Hill, and the over-under for total points scored is 66. Before locking in any Tulsa vs. Oklahoma State picks, be sure to see the college football predictions from SportsLine’s Josh Nagel.

A Nevada-based handicapper with more than 20 years of experience in the sports wagering industry, Nagel went 90-72 with his college football picks last season, returning $1,024. In addition, he has had a particularly keen eye for the Cowboys. He is 12-3 with his last 15 college football picks involving Oklahoma State. Anyone who has followed him is way up.

Now, Nagel has studied Tulsa vs. OSU from every angle and has revealed his picks over at SportsLine. Here are the college football odds from William Hill and trends for OSU vs. Tulsa.

In addition to Hubbard and star quarterback Spencer Sanders, Oklahoma State has one of the best receivers in the country in Tylan Wallace. A 6-foot, 190-pound senior from Fort Worth, Texas, Wallace was an All-American and finalist for the Biletnikoff Award in 2018. He ranks third among active FBS players in career receiving yards (2,512) and second in career receiving touchdowns (20) despite missing the final five games of 2019 to injury.

In addition, Oklahoma State has dominated the recent meetings against Tulsa. The Cowboys are riding a seven-game winning streak in the series. Three years ago they won 59-24 in Stillwater and last year they won 40-21 in Tulsa. The average score in the seven previous meetings is 49-23.

Tulsa brings back one of the most productive running back groups in the country. The team’s returning running back corps has the second-highest career rushing yards (4,541) and rushing touchdowns (51) in the nation. Only Clemson ranks higher in both categories. For Tulsa, Brooks leads the way with 2,700 career yards and 23 touchdowns.

On defense, the Golden Hurricane have a playmaker in linebacker Zaven Collins. The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Collins was a second-team American Athletic Conference selection last year after making 97 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks and two pass breakups. Entering this season, Collins appears on the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award, presented to the nation’s outstanding defensive player.

Nagel is leaning over on the total, and he’s also found a critical x-factor that makes one side of the spread a must-back. You can only get the pick at SportsLine.

So who wins Tulsa vs. Oklahoma State? And which critical x-factor has Nagel jumping all over one side of the spread? Visit SportsLine now to see which side of the Oklahoma State vs. Tulsa spread to jump on Saturday, all from the expert on a 12-3 run on picks involving the Cowboys, and find out.
