Halloween looks different this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but there’s one tradition that’s here to stay: creative costumes!

With social distancing measures still in place, festive activities such as ride or treat, indoor parties, and haunted houses are now considered high-risk activities by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)

But morning and daytime talk show hosts, including Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb from « Today » and Kelly Ripa from « Live with Kelly and Ryan, » make sure viewers are immersed in the spirit of Halloween by showing their appearance

While shows had to make adjustments in the midst of the pandemic, from replacing an in-person audience with a virtual audience to implementing more rigid sanitation protocols, that hasn’t stopped them from get festive Friday with a « Schitt’s Creek » parody, a tribute to Broadway icons and more

Dressed in the iconic Pope outfit from Season 6, Ripa looked almost unrecognizable as she was dressed as the indomitable Moira Rose (played by Catherine O’Hara), while Seacrest sported the iconic black lightning sweater and white sunglasses like her flamboyant son David (played by Dan Levy)

But a costume is not enough for the dynamic duo! With Ripa’s Baby Yoda costume from the Disney « Star Wars » « The Mandalorian » series, the two also showed their fierce sides by parodying « Tiger King », with Ripa in a blonde wig and mustache as Joe Exotic. and Seacrest in a tiger onesie

The hosts of the morning show gave the audience something to sing about with their dramatic and animated costumes « Best of Broadway » Hoda Kotb looked regal in her princess dress and blonde wig as Glinda from  » Wicked « And of course who else to play Elphaba than gravity-defying Savannah Guthrie who looked creepy with her green face

As a tribute to « Hamilton, » Craig Melvin went historic with his colonial coat and slicked back hair as titular Alexander Hamilton, and Al Roker donned a crown and bright red robe as the menacing King George

Jenna Bush Hager has her heart in sync with Grizabella from « Cats », with her hairy tail, cat ears and awesome face makeup

To bring some upbeat music to the show, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer kicked it off with their sparkly fringed dresses as Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart of « Chicago »

Although the anchors didn’t dress up this year, “Good Morning America” woke up fans with a cute surprise: adorable child and dog costumes!

Cecilia Vega, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos were replaced with mini look-alikes, as adorable look-alikes stepped in for the show’s presenters

Vega, Strahan and Stephanopoulos also showed viewers the cutest looks of their dogs, from a unicorn to Batman, and Ginger Zee showed off her four-legged friend’s rocket costume made from bottles in recycled plastic and tissue paper

Dressed in a white nurse’s uniform with a Superman logo as well as a blue and red cape, the TV host used her talk show to highlight the essential roles of first responders during the COVID pandemic -19

COVID-19 doesn’t stop Wendy Williams and her annual costumes This year, she wrapped herself in an elegant white gown to dress up as a Greek goddess

For the show’s first Halloween special, Drew Barrymore brought in some nostalgia and magic with her pink dress and sparkling wand as Glinda from « ThWizard of Oz » A’s Day Show. time was created on September 14
