The PlayStation 5 replenishment at GameStop this Black Friday is leaving gamers camping outside stores overnight, and many are missing their Thanksgiving Day in hopes of getting their hands on a PS5.
GameStop is one of the few stores that is selling the new PS5 console in-store as opposed to online consoles. Given the experience some gamers have had when purchasing the PS5 online, it is no surprise that some are trying an alternative method.
The PS5 is clearly in high demand – it’s on pre-sale, sold out on launch day, and later replenished almost immediately.
While the elusive PS5 may be difficult to buy due to limited inventory and high demand, some gamers believe that the consoles are being bought up online by bots who then sell the consoles for a profit.
One way to get around this is to buy the console in person at the store – even if it means missing out on a turkey dinner. It looks like gamers are doing just that, with photos of lines outside of GameStop stores around the world. S.. . shared on social media, with reports from some who have been camping since Wednesday.
However, some campers may miss the console despite pledging to wait overnight. GameStop has a limited inventory of PS5s, with some stores only selling two consoles. Still, PlayStation fans try their luck.
Eugene Daniel shared photos of people camping on mattresses outside a GameStop in Norfolk, Virginia, and said they had been there since 6 a.m.. m. on Thanksgiving Day.

These campers are ready to invest not only the time but also the extra money in hopes of the new PlayStation. Although the console typically costs $ 499, GameStop sells PS5 bundles for $ 835. 99 that comes with an additional controller, camera, Spider-Man, and Demon’s Souls.
