Airbus inventory started at the front foot in 2020 after reports that it was on track to hit the upper end of its internal range forecast for aircraft deliveries.
Over the weekend, Bloomberg reported that the Jetmaker’s shipments are expected to be around 560, with the final balance expected later that week.
Such an outcome would be a far cry from the 863 deliveries in 2019, but would nonetheless help underpin the company’s results in a year when Covid-19 weighed on demand worldwide.
Achieving the target would also likely be a better than expected result than what so-called buy-side analysts had estimated, Morgan Stanley analyst Andrew Humphrey told Newswire.
From 1531 GMT, Airbus shares rose by 1. 21% up to $ 90. 87 but from its intraday high of $ 94. 57.
