World News – USA – Anthony Davis brings Rockets’ James Harden into elite company

The Houston Rockets faced the Los Angeles Lakers eight times in the 2019-20 season, including the regular season and the postseason. The Rockets took a 2-1 lead during the regular season, but were defeated by the eventual champions within five games of the Western Conference semifinals.

James Harden proved difficult to defend for the Lakers as he averaged 29. 4 points, 7. 2 templates and 4. 6 rebounds, while 37. 8 percent of its 3-pointers. Harden’s scoring results topped the streak and were also nearly identical to his scoring totals during the Rockets’ opening round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lakers striker Anthony Davis recently joined FanSided’s Da Windy City podcast discussing the difficulty of preventing the Houston Rockets superstar from taking off with opponents.

During the three games between the Rockets and the Lakers throughout the season, Harden averaged 29 points, 8. 7 assists and seven rebounds. Davis also praised Harden’s ability to hit the foul line shown during the regular season when he averaged 12. 3 free throws against the Lakers while making 35 of his 37 attempts which was good for 94. 6 percent from the charity strip.

Harden also moved 11. 2 free throws against the Lakers during the postseason while 83 are being made. 9 percent of his fouls, which adds further credibility to the notion that he can not only commit fouls but also implement his attempts at a high clip.

Davis added that the three most difficult-to-defend players in the league are Kevin Durant, Harden, and Damian Lillard, in that order. Harden and the missiles appear to be at a crossroads as he has reportedly been looking for a way to connect Durant and Kyrie Irving to the Brooklyn Nets, although the path could be difficult for Harden as he is under contract for two years, before he can exercise his player option and control over his future.

But regardless of where he lands, Davis is right: Harden will be one of the most difficult-to-defend players in the league.
