. . World News – USA – Big East coronavirus outbreak: Xavier postpones games against. Seton Hall, Providence after positive COVID-19 test

For the second time in a week, Seton Hall’s schedule is being adjusted during ongoing operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Xavier University will suspend all activities of the men’s basketball team following a positive COVID-19 test result from a Tier 1 member of the program. For this reason, Xavier’s next two games have been postponed, including the planned start of the BIG EAST Conference on Saturday in Providence and the start of the BIG EAST Home vs.. . Seton Hall on Tuesday. The BIG EAST conference will announce further adjustments to Xavier’s conference schedule once these are completed, including scheduled dates for postponed games.

Seton Hall also changed its Big East Opener today as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. The pirates (3-3) play St.. . Johns (5-1) at the Prudential Center instead of DePaul dealing with an outbreak of his own. Here are the pregame notes from Seton Hall PR:
