World News – USA – Dallas Goedert Fantasy Outlook: What to Expect Tonight with Zach Ertz

What can Dallas Goedert fantasy managers expect in Week 12 when TE Zach Ertz is excluded from Monday night's game against the Seahawks?

. .

What can fantasy managers expect from Dallas Goedert in Week 12 if TE Zach Ertz is excluded from Monday night’s game against the Seahawks?

While there are still some questions surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles, they will have at least one of their main offensive weapons in Dallas Goedert when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. If TE Zach Ertz is out for tonight’s game, what is the fantasy football outlook for Dallas Goedert in Week 12, and what does it mean to move forward? Just a few more weeks to secure a first-round reunion or even a spot in the playoffs could pay off if you get an edge at the thinnest point in the imagination.

Despite reports that TE Zach Ertz was headed in the right direction, the Eagles ruled him out for their Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the team would leave Ertz on the IR, with the possibility that he could see him before the game of Aug.. Week is removed and activated. Head coach Doug Pederson added that there has been « no setback » from Ertz’s injury and the hope is that he can return against the Green Bay Packers next week.

Ertz has not played since week 6 after contracting a sprain on his ankle three weeks after Dallas Goedert landed on IR, which put him in the injured reserve. The eight year veteran was due to return from IR last week, which allowed Ertz to practice.

2020 was a year Zach Ertz would love to forget. After five consecutive seasons with 100 goals in 14 or more games per year, Ertz has played in just six games. He has caught 24 of his 45 goals for 178 yards and a touchdown. After saying he wanted to get top tight end money, this season has likely affected his upcoming contract negotiations as he joins the free agency after the season.

On the field, TE Dallas Goedert is one of the best fantasy options at his position. Even when Goedert played with a healthy Zach Ertz all season, he set up 58 receptions on 87 targets for 607 yards and five touchdowns, ending up as a TE10 in PPR formats. Part of this was due to a lack of talent in the broad receiver position, but also because the Eagles run more two-tight-end sets than anyone else in the NFL.

These trends have continued into the 2020 season, although Dallas Goedert also struggled to stay healthy, much like the rest of the team. In the first two games, Goedert looked like the TE1 on the team and scored 12 of 17 goals for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Unfortunately, he suffered a small broken left ankle and sprained ankle in the week 3 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, which resulted in his being transferred to the IR, where he stayed until week 8. His return was more of a « feel good » performance than a full activation. He caught his sole target for a 15 yard gain while playing on 83% of the snapshots. This was likely due to the team’s upcoming week 9 reunion and an additional two weeks or a recovery.

Dallas Goedert has been one of the best options in fantasy football for the past two weeks. Earn 26 PPR points thanks to nine receptions on 12 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown.

In the last two weeks Goedert has played 130 of the team’s 135 offensive snaps (41 of them from the slot) and achieved a team share of 16%.

The question for tonight isn’t so much about Dallas Goedert, but rather who is going to throw at him. While Carson Wentz will be the starting QB for the Eagles, rookie Jalen Hurts has done more reps with the starters and will see an increased role on offense. With the Eagles knowing they are on their tenth offensive starting line, it is certain that a quick read will be the wise choice when trying to keep up with the Seahawks offensive.

If you have Dallas Goedert start it, but know this could be a bumpy ride tonight. The Seahawks only allow 10. 18 fantasy points against opposing bottlenecks, although few teams use them as often as the Eagles. In fact, they got a 26. 9% target share in the year. Seattle has also seen a league low 5. 5 tight end goals per game, a number that is sure to go up tonight.

The Seahawks only allow a 58. 2% catch rate on tight ends but they allow a league high 14. 3 meters per reception when they catch the ball. This game will likely be wet too, which makes me like the tight ends even more. Knowing the use Dallas Goedert will see, he’s still a TE1 for me at week 12.
