The Live 5 weather team has declared Christmas Eve and Christmas Day the first alarm weather day due to the major changes to the forecast.
« A strong cold front is on the way tonight, » said Live 5 meteorologist Chris Holtzman. “Gusty showers and storms will continue to spread in the afternoon before the cold front. ”
He said some showers could get heavy to heavy with the possibility of a few thunderstorms coming through after 2pm. m. to 9 p. m. The main threat is gusts of wind up to 80 km / h at times when the front crosses between 6 p. m. and 9 p. m. , he said.
