The forest fire hazard, described by the National Weather Service as « very critical », is included in the forecast for Southern California for this week. For Wednesday evenings and Thursdays, strong winds are forecast in the mountains at 55 to 70 miles per hour, followed by warm temperatures and single-digit relative humidity through the weekend.
