After losing eight points in a high profile affair against Western Michigan last week, Central Michigan is seeking revenge on Eastern Michigan.

The Central Michigan Chippewas will try to keep up with the top teams in the MAC when they take on the winless Eastern Michigan Eagles at 4pm on Friday. m. ET.

The Chippewas (2-1) are taking part in this week’s MACtion competition after losing 52-44 to Western Michigan last week. The CMU achieved impressive performances from running backs Kobe Lewis and Kalil Pimpleton. Lewis led the CMU with 114 yards over 16 runs and two touchdowns, while Pimpleton filled in with 108 yards over seven runs and three touchdowns.

The defense of the CMU, however, could not stop the Broncos offensive, which was deployed in the air and on the ground. WMU quarterback Kaleb Eleby was an efficient 12-of-20 for 382 yards, five touchdowns and an interception. On the ground, La’Darius Jefferson led both teams with 150 yards in 33 runs in a rush. As a team, Western Michigan hurried 246 yards.

Eastern Michigan lost 45-28 at home to the Toledo Rockets last week. The defense of the EMU fought in both phases, so the quarterbacks of the Rockets could go through four touchdowns and Bryant Koback shot with 24 carry and one touchdown 149 yards.

The Eagles’ defense has to be better on Friday as they give up 235. 7 yards per game this season. Offensively, quarterback Preston Hutchinson tried to keep his team in play and was 25 of 38 for 244 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Not only is Hutchison the team’s lead passer this season, he’s also the rusher with 98 yards and four touchdowns.
