After almost three years together, Lindsey Vonn, 36, and P. . K. . The 31-year-old Subban has split up and ended his engagement.

« PK and I have had some amazing times over the past 3 years, » wrote Lindsey on Instagram on Tuesday, December. 29. « He is a kind, good man and someone I respect very much. « 

The former Olympic athlete added, « However, after much deliberation, we decided to move forward separately. We will always be friends and love each other immensely. We ask you to respect our privacy during this time. « 

P. . K. . , who is defender for the New Jersey Devils ice hockey team, also confirmed the split on social media. « Lindsey is one of the nicest and most caring people I know, » he shared. « I will always cherish our time together as a couple and the many laughs we shared. « 

Last August, fans learned that the couple were engaged to be engaged almost two years after first meeting at the 2017 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards. In fact, Lindsey P suggested. K. . for Christmas 2019.

« I knew he was different right away, » Lindsey told Vogue. « But I’ve been married before, so I was quite reluctant to think I could find someone to be married to again. « 

She continued, « After a few months of dating, I knew he was the one I wanted to be with. «
