After three weeks without a game, Missouri beat South Carolina 17-10 in the Mayor’s Cup in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Redshirt runner-up Tauskie Dove scored an early lead for Missouri in the first quarter with a touchdown reception. A strong defense in Missouri showed the rest of the game with three sacks total.

Running Back Larry Rountree III ran 11 yards in the second quarter, giving him a total of 3. Raised 198 yards, enough to break the school record for increasing mileage with a rewind. Rountree is now the second largest rusher in MU history after quarterback Brad Smith.

A late interception by linebacker Devin Nicholson cemented the win for Missouri, who now have a 3-3 record.
