Tariq St. . Patrick is finally going to be tried. The character at the center of Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost will take a stand in January. 3 episode to what appeared to be the murder of his father, James « Ghost » St. . Patrick. Some viewers know him and his devious behaviors and believe that Tariq has planned something else.

Tariq had enough of Ghost’s deception and murdered him in cold blood in Power’s sixth season. He attacked him with a gun in his Truth nightclub. Ultimately, his mother, Tasha St. . Patrick took the fall for him so Tariq could go to college and earn the inheritance that was left in his father’s will.

Power Book II: Ghost follows Tariq at the beginning of his studies at Stansfield University. There he begins to build his own drug empire so that he can fund Tasha’s attorney Davis Maclean.
It turns out that Maclean is secretly working with Federal Attorney Cooper Saxe to get rid of Tasha and peg Tariq for the murder. But little he knows, Tariq has started to stick to the program.
In December. In this episode, Saxe Tariq called the court to testify in the trial against his mother. He knew Tariq had killed Ghost and could say something that could later be used against him. Tariq has been ready to confess all season if it means his mother will be released from prison. So he agrees and hires Tameika Washington as his defense attorney.
The two go into episode 10 entitled « Heart of Darkness. In the trailer for the episode, Tariq can be seen at the booth giving someone a sly, suggestive look in the courtroom.

Before episode 10, there was a theory on social media that Tariq doesn’t actually admit, but rather involves others for their crimes.
« He wanted to lie like he had never lied before . . « Wrote one person on Twitter and earned over 6. 000 likes.
« Tariq picks everyone up while exposing Saxe & Davis when called to the booth, » tweeted another fan alongside a clip from New Jack City (1991) when gangster Nino Brown cheated on a court employee during his day in court.
A third person made similar claims and posted a photo of Tariq that read, “This MF-Finna was worried in this courtroom. « . ”
