The Virginia Cavaliers actually seem to have an opponent for the first two games after much confusion and change in the last few days. Virginia is currently in Uncasville, Connecticut, attending a multi-team event in Bubbleville on the Mohegan Sun.. Originally, the Hoos were supposed to open this COVID-delayed season with games against Maine and Florida.

Florida had to suspend all basketball activities after an outbreak in its program, so they withdrew from the event. Shortly thereafter, Maine was forced to withdraw for the same reason. After much back and forth and hypothesizing who would play Virginia, things were found out Tuesday night.

The Cavaliers will now open on Wednesday, 25. November, at 1:30 p.m. the 2020-21 season against the Towson Tigers. On Friday the 27th. November, Virginia plays San Francisco at 11:30 am. The Towson game will be broadcast on the FloSports streaming platform, while the San Francisco matchup will be broadcast on ESPN.
