The free agent’s linebacker was arrested over the weekend for allegedly beating someone, but no further information was available until TMZ Sports started asking questions.
The 30-year-old former Cincinnati Bengals star was found to be taken into custody for battery failure while searching for a secret pizza place in Las Vegas.
“A spokesman for the Las Vegas Metro Police. tell us . . . Burfict was arrested Saturday for beating a security guard at the Cosmopolitan Resort, Casino and Hotel.
Multiple sources report that Burfict and at least one other person at Cosmo was looking for a restaurant called « Secret Pizza. ”… Which is hard to find on purpose!
We learned that Burfict and his crew were having a hard time finding the place – and at one point they felt that security was following them.
At one point there was an incident between Vontaze and the security guards – the guards claimed that Burfict had gotten physical.
Burfict’s bond was reportedly dated Jan.. He was reportedly released at his own discretion. A hearing is scheduled for Monday.
